★ This story out of china really got my attention as it came across my RSS this morning.
A 14-year-old boy in China was killed when his chair exploded, sending chunks of metal into his rectum. The bleeding this caused killed him.
I’m writing this at my desk while sitting on a chair very similar to this. This is very disturbing to me.
You can see more about this at Gizmodo.
★ Seriously, how does this happen? This was the plot of two low-budget movies last year (Stuck and Hit and Run). Is this life imitating art?
A pedestrian was struck by a sport utility vehicle on a street in Corona, Queens, on Wednesday morning, then immediately struck again by a cargo van that dragged the victim 17 miles through a web of city highways and to Coney Island in Brooklyn, the police said. The pedestrian, apparently a male, was killed.
★ From the opening line of the BBC show ‘Being Human’ (s01e03). I thought it sounded very poetic.
love should be the opposite of death. It should be our biggest reason for wanting to be here.
★ I love that blue/red Obama poster by street artist Shepard Fairey. Here’s my take on it.
★ Are we really surprised. This is just the natural progression in the “Rick-Rolling” phenomenon. If you pay attention you can see this trend all over the internets.
★ A wise person once said
Low self-esteem is a gift that keeps on giving.
- Kevin Pereira
This is very true, as I experienced this phenomenon first hand during the great Oahu Blackout of ’08.
★ I’m clearly not patient enough to work with idiots.
That is all.
★ Observation: White, skin tight pants, is NOT a good color for girls to wear to the gym.
★ As im writing this I’m demo’ing an app I developed in the conference room to department heads. It is so hard to pretend like I care what these people are saying. I guess the problem is pretending that I’m actually listening to what they are saying.
★ I think ‘Entropy’ is definitely my favorite word.
That is all.
★ I came across this quote over at 43 folders.
Multitasking is the art of distracting yourself from two things you’d rather not be doing by doing them simultaneously.
★ I have found that everything is more interesting when done to the ‘Requiem for a Dream’ theme song. I’m gonna try something new today. I’m going to imagine ‘requiem for a dream’ playing in my head for everything I do.

★ I know what you’re thinking. There just isn’t enough ‘Hoff’ on the internet. That David Hasselhoff myspace profile just doesn’t quite do it for you. Well David Hasselhoff feels your pain, and no one understands where you’re coming from better than him. David Hasselhoff recently launched a social network centered around himself. its ‘Hoff Around The World’.
The introduction from the front page of Hoffspace:
In my travels round the world I have always been surprised that no matter where I go people recognize and know me, from Europe, Australia and India to the Philippines and the Zulu Nation in South Africa. This got me thinking… I realized that while two people from two entirely different countries and backgrounds may seem to have nothing in common, the only thing they might have in common is me… So I decided to start a network where people from across the world might come together and get a conversation started over me. Where it will lead, I don’t know but the world would be a better place if everyone talked a little more to each other…
That’s funny to me.
